You may not necessarily hold specialist accreditation but should hold a mentoring or teaching qualification (or be willing to attain within the first year). You should have a passion for training and mentoring.
The post holder will be responsible (under the supervision of the lead cardiac physiologist for that area) for ensuring a high quality and effective non-invasive diagnostic service, including undertaking quality assurance processes. They will also be responsible for the training and assessment of junior staff, including mentoring staff through Level 2 and 4 apprenticeship programmes.

You will be expected to be involved in the training of all of these staff groups, and be responsible for the assessment of some.
We are able to support the post holder to undertake training and gain qualifications in teaching , mentoring and assessment if they do not already have these.
The post holder will also be expected to deputise for the Lead in Non-invasive services, and be responsible for implementing QA processes in the areas of ECG, ambulatory monitoring and ETT
