JOB OVERVIEW:

The Cardiac Technician assists in the delivery of care to the patient undergoing cardiac catheterization, ensuring optimum patient outcomes while achieving patient and family satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Radiology Technologist/Cardiovascular Technologist school graduate or equivalent
• Experience within a healthcare setting
• Must be able to scrub

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

• Monday-Friday
• Full-time (FT)

• Assists physicians during the performance of the diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Catheter Lab
• Administers individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of ICVL lab procedures
• Assumes responsibility for patient preparation, care, and monitoring before, during and after procedures
• Read, be familiar with, participate in periodic education/training
• Participates in quality improvement programs and inventory control
• Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care
• Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other corporate compliance policies
