SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Current AHPRA is essential
  • Bachelor of Nursing or Equivalent is essential
  • Post grad qualification in aged care highly regarded
  • Experience managing a minimum of 30 beds
  • Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities
  • Highly effective communication, leadership and relationship management skills
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Morphettville Care Manager, you will work as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals. You will support the General Manager in managing and leading the delivery of person-centred care of residents, ensuring the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation and clinical governance, helping them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

DUTIES

  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home
  • Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education
  • Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes
  • Lead compliance with AN ACC assessments
  • Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents - including case conferencing with families and carers
  • Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits
  • Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements
  • Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to provide optimal resident care
