REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • A relevant university degree (minimum Bachelor Degree qualification)
  • Already be a confident and enthusiastic Counsellor with experience in counselling students
  • An appreciation of the IB Philosophy
  • Epitomises the School’s values of Happiness, Kindness, and Imagination and definition of

Educational Distinction

  • Valid working permit / permission to work in Austria

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience in the IB Programmes and Curriculum
  • Competent operating school-based information management systems (iSams, ManageBac)
  • Knowledge and experience in an international school
  • Valid First Aid Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Support every child in the secondary school in developing an inspiring vision for their future and

planning the steps required to bring this into reality

  • Work together with the Admissions team to meet with students and their parents joining the

school

  • Create and publish the annual Careers and University Entrance Calendar and ensure the timely

preparation of, completion and submission of applications

  • Maintain the database (in coordination with the IBDP/CP coordinators)
  • Facilitate the distribution and submission of IB certificates and diplomas to students and

Universities and collect all necessary information for the alumni network

  • Manage the Alumni database, inducting new alumni and communicating regularly with alumni
  • Project Management: IB Graduation ceremony, Graduation ball, Graduate reunions and Alumni

gatherings, Careers and University Fairs

  • Development of AMADEUS’ ‘clubs’ (e.g., volunteering activities and etc.) which will support

students university chances

  • Support mentor teachers with any careers related training and class activities
  • Develop the internship programme at AMADEUS
  • Organise and run seminars for students
  • In combination with the Marketing team, strengthen the connection and affiliation of the

AMADEUS alumni network

  • Attend University fairs and IB Careers Counselling workshops
  • Organise university representative visits
  • Promote the school of various platforms such as IACAC, NACAS, etc
  • Organise university campus tours for universities in Austria and abroad
