Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the marketing and attraction, screening, compliance, training and assessment of new carers, as well as the development and retention of existing carers within the Home-Based Care Programs.
The Carer Recruitment and Development Worker is responsible for the delivery of high-quality carer recruitment, training, assessment and development of carers within a trauma informed practice framework. The position is a member of the Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development team and works collaboratively with the Home-Based Care programs and the Community Engagement Team.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work, Children’s Services, Welfare Services or equivalent
- Sound professional knowledge and theory base particularly in the areas of trauma, attachment, therapeutic care, assessment and training.
- Able to work effectively with a range of diverse people, including stakeholders.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and meeting KPI’s while working under pressure (exceptional organisational and administration skills)
