Description:

Are you ready for an exciting career in the aviation industry? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cargo Flight Clerk. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts, providing a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment at one of Australia’s busiest airports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid manual driver’s license
  • Previous proven customer service and administrative tasks experience
  • Completion of Company induction and commitment to ongoing training.
  • Ability to work 24/7 rotating shifts without restrictions.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding warehouse settings, heavy lifting , and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment without compromising work quality or safety.
  • Commitment to safety, incident reporting, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Permanent residents or must have Australian Citizenship

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with our Client and Airline specific standards.
  • Facilitate the smooth flow of import and export cargo between customers and aircraft.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to cargo reservations, tracking, tracing, and quoting.
  • Prepare accurate airway bill documentation, manifests, and information for flights.
  • Verify cargo documentation data, rate charges, schedules, and routing.
  • Process special cargo handling, including dangerous goods, animals, human remains, and perishables.
  • Assist in locating and managing lost, damaged, and delayed shipments.
  • Manage inbound and outbound cargo and mail communications.
  • Perform bond checks and ensure proper collection of rate charges.
  • Compile cargo claims files for settlement purposes.
  • Provide accurate statistics for monthly reports.
  • Retrieve cargo documentation from aircraft and manage regulatory clearances.
  • Control Unit Load Devices, maintaining records and communication with airline customers.
  • Fulfill any other directed duties.
  • Compliance with regulations from transport, quarantine, customs, border force, and other legal bodies.
