Description:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in carpentry is required.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Structural Construction: Constructing frameworks, walls, floors, and roofs according to architectural plans and engineering specifications. This includes accurately measuring and cutting materials and assembling them to ensure structural integrity and durability.
  • Fixture Installation: Installing fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, staircases, and trim work with precision and attention to detail. Ensuring fixtures are properly aligned, secured, and functional to meet client expectations.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Conducting repairs and maintenance on existing structures and fixtures as needed. This involves assessing damage, replacing components, and restoring functionality while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Tool and Equipment Operation: Operating a variety of hand and power tools and equipment safely and effectively maintaining tools in good condition and following proper maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues, identifying and addressing potential hazards promptly and proactively.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other construction team members, including architects, engineers, supervisors, and fellow tradespeople. Communicating effectively to coordinate tasks, solve problems, and ensure project deadlines are met.
