JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a shuttering carpenter you will be responsible for constructing temporary structures, molds or formwork that are used to support wet concrete or other materials during the building process.shuttering carpenter is to construct the temporary form-work that supports concrete or other materials during the construction process, ensuring that it is built accurately and to the required specifications.1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required dimensions and shape of the form-work. 2. Measuring and marking cutting lines on materials, such as plywood, timber, or steel, to ensure accuracy and precision. 3. Cutting and shaping materials to form molds or form-work according to specifications using hand and power tools. 4. Assembling form-work on the construction site, and ensuring that it is level, plumb and square. 5. Installing and securing reinforcing materials, such as rebar, wire mesh, or steel bars, within the form-work to provide structural support to the concrete or other materials. 6. Pouring and levelling concrete, or other materials, into the form-work to create the desired shape. 7. Removing the form-work once the concrete or other materials have set and cured, and ensuring that it is done safely and without damaging the surrounding structures.
