Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of Blueprints: Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to understand the scope of work, materials required, and construction methods.
- Construction and Installation: Construct, install, and repair various wooden structures and fixtures, including but not limited to cabinets, furniture, doors, windows, molding, and staircases.
- Material Preparation: Prepare materials by cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, plywood, and other materials according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Site Work: Travel to construction sites to install structures and fixtures, ensuring proper measurements, levelness, and alignment. Coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors as needed.
- Repair and Maintenance: Identify and repair damaged or deteriorating wooden structures, fixtures, or furniture, utilizing appropriate techniques and materials to restore functionality and aesthetics.
- Tool and Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, planers, routers, and sanders, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and best practices at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, securing work areas, and using tools and equipment safely to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, clients, and other team members, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality in all work performed, paying attention to detail, accuracy, and durability to achieve customer satisfaction and project success.
