CARPENTRY TUTOR – PRISON EDUCATION
Location: HMP Fosse Way, Tigers Road, Wigston, Leicester, LE18 4WS
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: Up to £33,600 per annum (dependent on experience)

MK College Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Carpentry tutor, to join the team based at HMP Fosse Way, Leicester. The role will involve delivery of City & Guilds Carpentry qualifications at level 1 and 2.
As a successful Carpentry Tutor, you will truly inspire them and provide learners with a positive learning experience. You will be connecting with learners in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications, but developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment as well as other areas of education.
This role may involve outreach work outside of the main classroom setting. You will be connecting with students in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications, but developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment as well as other areas of education.
We are seeking an individual who can communicate well with students to inspire and motivate them. The
average class consists of 18 students, supported by a team of prison mentors and workshop technician. The sessions are approximately 3 hours long. Your lessons will need to be adaptable, innovative, and imaginative.
