Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline; or two years of college plus two years of related work or life experience including experience as a veteran; or a High School diploma and four years of related work or life experience including as a veteran, in homelessness, mental health or recovery services.
- Trauma-informed lens, sensitivity, and cultural competency regarding women veterans and their unique needs.
- 1-year of prior experience in housing services required, preferably in working with veterans
- Prior experience in community outreach, marketing, or communication preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.
- Bi-lingual preferred; Diversity welcomed.

Responsibilities:
- Provides non-clinical case management services including intake, assessment, housing stabilization, budgeting, financial entitlements/benefits, etc.
- Develops Housing Plans with veterans.
- Provides supportive counseling for veterans in need of crisis intervention and emergency services.
- Supports veterans in their recovery through psychoeducation groups and linkage to community-based services.
- Identifies, supports, and assists veterans in rehabilitative services and daily living skills.
- Transports veterans in agency vehicles in a safe, cautious and responsible manner.
- Documents service delivery and maintains accurate, timely, and detailed records.
- Participates in all appropriate team, supervision, and training meetings.
- Attends and organizes outreach events in the community.
- Liaise with community and governmental agencies.
- Functions as a team member by communicating all relevant information to other team members and covering co-workers’ duties as needed.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator and the Program Director
