Description:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is based in the Raleigh Unit office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide casework support to counselors . The major duties include support for caseloads as well as providing support in all aspects of office needs. The position requires a wide range of knowledge regarding community resources and local employers as well as the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic data to assist counselor with determining eligibility and required rehabilitation
services
- Assist with develop a written plan of services in conjunction with the consumer, parent and/or guardian; inputting casework
data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Preparing documents including authorizations and correspondences as needed; and completing all related administrative
tasks in tandem with the processing assistant
- Monitor the consumer’s progress throughout the service delivery process
- Work directly with community partners in order to assist individuals with disabilities in becoming suitably employed
- Document service delivery and case progress in the case management system as required by agency policy
Selected applicant needs to have the means to travel as the job requires.
