Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This position supports the Hospitality Senior Team Leader in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Waterfront Pantry. Key responsibilities include organizing daily activities, directing the team on standards and processes, and handling setup and pack-up, café and waiter service, catering, large-scale functions, presentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. Additionally, this role involves problem-solving to achieve high-end customer service and enhance the guest experience. Flexibility is required for this roster-based position, including working mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Deliver customer service and hospitality to all visitors, guests and students at the university’s Waterfront Pantry.
- Recognize the importance of teamwork and effective communication, fostering respectful rapport within the immediate team. Coach, guide, and support team members to achieve individual, team, and University goals.
- Clarify expectations and respond promptly to client requests, queries, or complaints to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines.
- Deliver effective and efficient outcomes and outputs against team and operational work plans.
- Build productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationships.
- Take personal responsibility and show initiative to meeting goals and objectives contributing to an inclusive team environment.
