Description:
Cliste Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Category Buyer to join our growing procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a specific category of goods or services, developing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring the company obtains the best value for its purchases while maintaining quality and timely delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Procure Wizzard is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including market research, supplier identification, and evaluation.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Draft and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements and overall strategy.
- Monitor supplier performance, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms.
- Manages the suppliers within the respective category (change management, contract negotiations, supplier classifications, supplier management, supplier phase out).
- Accountable for detailed accuracy and completeness of product information required for item set-up.
- Analyse spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including General Managers, Stores Manager, and all departments.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and industry best practices in procurement.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
