We offer the opportunity to join Nilfisk as our new Global Indirect Category Manager - HR & Marketing in a growing team, where you will create, maintain and execute category strategies within the assigned spend. You create business cases, assess commercial models, manage stakeholders, run tenders, and negotiate contracts with a range of existing and potential new suppliers. You will focus on achieving best value for money, leverage the global scale and keep in mind local nuances.
Focusing mainly on the HR and Marketing Category, You will be a main driver of defining future supply concepts in our global organization, working across cultures, and influencing sourcing strategies in your categories. You will act as a trusted Procurement Advisor for stakeholders all over Nilfisk and liaise with a broad field of suppliers while understanding the trends, commercial drivers, and market dynamics.
The Team
You will be part of a growing team (currently 4 ppl, planned growth to 9 ppl by Q2 2024), based in Budapest and Copenhagen. You will be part of the Global Indirect Procurement team reporting to the Global Head of Indirect Procurement.

What you will do

  • Manage procurement projects (Scoping, RFx, Negotiating, Implementing)
  • Develop category strategies and implement them
  • Manage contracts, optimize compliance with SOW’s and other contractual terms and conditions
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for procurement projects
  • Seek out additional opportunities for continuously improving the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) within the category by scoping and getting buy-in for specific improvement projects
  • Conduct fact-based negotiations with suppliers to ensure Nilfisk achieves the best value for money
  • Develop and manage supplier contracts and compliance
  • Execute requests for proposals (RFP) and quotations (RFQ) with high professionalism – ensuring comparability, fact-based evaluations, and timely execution
  • Drive supplier consolidations keeping in mind local nuances
  • Assist in developing and maturing the Indirect Procurement function
  • Identify opportunities in spend patterns and market developments

What you will bring
For this position, we are looking for candidates who have great experience within one or several of the above-mentioned categories. As a person, you like to establish great professional relationships with your stakeholders. As English is our corporate language, you speak and write English fluently.
You have 5-10 years of experience in an indirect procurement position – preferably from a global company, irrespective of sector, or perhaps management consulting.
