Description:

Program or project management experience
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

We are seeking a Category Manager to strategically source products and services for North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Procurement. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. The position will work and partner with multiple teams to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, deliver savings and improve productivity across the category. You will work independently and with peers to generate high-quality work product in a collaborative, creative, ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision making process of the category roadmap with senior leadership
  • Develop inventory strategies within a high volume product category
  • Drive commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance
  • Lead supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibility
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global/local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of your defined strategies
  • Influence suppliers’ roadmaps, design, processes, technology decisions and strategies
  • Lead complex and cross-functional projects productivity, sustainability and innovations
