Position Description
The Global Purchasing Organization is responsible for providing agreements with qualified suppliers including the commercial terms. Together with our internal stakeholders, we define the requirements in both quality and quantity of products and services We strive to identify and partner with innovative, high quality and highly reliable supply partners.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in economics, trade, logistics or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience, preferably in indirect materials.
  • Previous experience working in regulated environment is a big advantage.
  • Very good communication skills in English and Polish
  • Good technical understanding in facility management and or production/laboratory equipment.
  • SRM knowledge, SAP preferable

Responsibilities:

  • Management and execution of category relevant supplier management and sourcing activities to maximize efficiency, cost savings and reduce liability exposure
  • Govern the sourcing agreements with the suppliers, monitor contract performance metrics and SLAs
  • Analyze, manage and resolve contract related conflicts between the service provider and QIAGEN
  • Provide escalation and arbitration role when needed
  • Execution of sourcing decisions for assigned category on regional and local level
  • Performance responsibility for assigned category, supply base and contract(s) and its reporting and communication
  • Active and adequate support of the global category leader
    This role does not include team management.
