The Category Sourcing Consultant is responsible for understanding the key success factors and underlaying value levers established through the sourcing teams to drive both performance and value together with the Contract Owners, and Suppliers for assigned contract/vendor portfolio.
The role will provide commercial support, advice and insights on the assigned contracts in their category, which may include establishing and conducting ongoing governance of assigned contracts/MSAs (Master Service Agreements) and ensuring commercial contract obligations are met to sustain, protect, and uplift value from the negotiated contracts. The team will also bring balance between delivering value in commercial arrangements and managing commercial risk exposure.

Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively across Procurement and Business to support management of assigned contracts to preserve, maintain and uplift value and manage any performance risks
Providing ongoing commercial advice on the execution requirements of assigned contracts/Master Services Agreement and support the Contract Owner with advice and support
Proactive administration and management of strategic contracts inclusive spend analytics, identification of scope creep and off-contract spend, and commercial KPI tracking/performance reporting
Supporting and coaching suppliers and contract owners/OCMs to optimize supplier performance within the contract terms and help support additional value through improvement initiatives, or support to manage/rectify non performances to contract
Managing contract/scope variations in line with Category plans and provide advice on disputes and claims, support dispute resolution for high value/high risk Contracts
Assisting Category Leads/Management to manage portfolio risks and governance requirements, and working with OCM team as required to understand any requirements under the Contract Management Framework and collaborate as required to resolve any issues

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience in management of contracts and commercial procurement engagements (in particular to Software & associated Services)
Experience in delivering contract management related continuous improvement initiatives
Strategic thinker to problem solve within highly complex and ambiguous situations
Strong communicator, stakeholder and relationship management
Understands risks and appropriate control options
Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyze cost vs risk trade-offs, shape deal economics; with high level of commercial acumen and strong negotiations skills
Aligning Category and Sourcing/Contracting Strategy to Business Strategies; and understanding of broader business context and translating into key priorities for Procurement to support
Understanding supply market dynamics, Third Party Risk and Regulatory requirements, external leading practice, market trends relevant to spend areas; understanding of end to end procurement lifecycle management across Strategy, Source to Contract, Supplier Relationship Management through to Req. to Pay
