The Opportunity

This role will be a key part of GPN UK’s leadership team. This person will engage closely with the Sales, Customer Operations and Marketing teams. The role’s aim is to drive revenue for the organisation and develop strong brand awareness and successful marketing campaigns.
The role will report to General Manager UK and will manage a team of commercial planning, category & shopper management specialists. The role will be based in London.
Category Strategy
Own the short to long term category growth strategy, identifying the drivers of growth and ensuring our brand and commercial team are set up to deliver against this. Build a category story and articulate and partner with retailers to customise accordingly.
Embed category strategy at the heart of GPN UK
Define & lead go to market for brand plans, develop concept sells for the brands, identify gaps and development recommendations to meet brand targets.
Partner with sales team to sell effectively to retailers.
Lead 3Y Strategy planning for total GPN
Shopper Marketing
Own the brands instore developing cutting edge shopper activation to win at point of purchase. Lead the team to deliver brilliant execution on display & fixture & Glanbia wins vs competition.
Data & insight
Own all retailer data & EPOS & resulting insight. Also own trade landscape (what are consumers doing in store)
Provides expertise in markets trends and data and provides proactive insight for the commercial and brand team on future opportunities.
Owns the drumbeat of reporting & analytics shared to business to measure & track performance.
Share & reapply
Be the expert for total GPN and share and reapply insights across our Glanbia markets.
Acts as the go-to person for broader data and insight requests for the UK market.
Bespoke projects
Owns key strategic innovation retail projects and launches that require multifunctional support.
The Skills you will bring to the team
Leadership - able to envision the multifunctional team (sales, marketing, supply) behind commercial and category opportunities, and then engage, energize and enable the team to execute the plan. Able to establish a process that enables better execution, stakeholder management & capacity within the team.
Strategic – insight focused to deliver coherence between short, medium, long term plans within the market strategy
Influencing & relationship builder – able to secure buy in from all levels (from leadership to peers to internal and external teams) within the organization behind strategy & required execution.
Operates with discipline – well organized, able to implement strategy and project manage to ensure end to end execution
Results focused – outcome focused with a bias for action
Adaptable – able to manage ambiguity and balance short term tactics with long term strategy in a constantly changing environment.
