Description:
20 hours per week (Monday to Friday 12.30pm – 4.30pm)
We have an opportunity for a motivated and reliable café superstar to support a small café we operate on site at Heinz-Wattie’s in Hastings. This position is partly sole charge, working the afternoon shift after the Café Supervisor has left for the day.
What you’ll do:
- support the Café Supervisor with food preparation
- serve café style food to customers
- operate EFTPOS and POS machine with a smile
- cash-up and till reconciliation
- move and manage stock
- clean and do dishes
- ensure kitchen/cafe is left clean, tidy, and safe at end of shift
Who you are:
- self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a passion for food
- friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
- have experience in cafe and cafeteria style food service
- have knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- confident to work unsupervised and resolve any problems that arise
- maintain a clean, tidy and hazard free environment

Additional hours may be available providing cover at other Cater sites on a casual as and when required basis.
