We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can thrive in a team environment. Other essential requirements include:

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, including basic food preparation and knowledge of food preparation standards

- Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP)
This role is suited for an individual who is flexible and able to work across all days of the week. Previous experience in hospital catering is desirable but not essential. Please note, it is also mandatory requirement of employment that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Responsibilities:
As a Casual Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient, timely, and high-quality delivery of food services throughout the hospital, including patient meals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing food related services in various hospital areas, including kitchens, wards, theatres and procedural areas.
- Handling tasks related to plating and meal delivery.
- Preparing non-cooked items such as salads and sandwiches.
- Restocking supplies in designated areas.
- Operating and maintaining food preparation and service equipment.
- Handling cafeteria duties, including Point of Sale transactions and cash handling.
- Monitor storage and food temperatures in cold store areas including completion of HACCP report forms.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in cool rooms and food storage areas.
- Managing stock rotation, receiving orders, and restocking food storage areas.
- Coordinating pot washing, rubbish removal, and storage tasks.
