THE ROLE:

Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint a Part time Catering Assistant at our Education site in Waverly.We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Canteen Assistant to join our team. The School Canteen Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the school canteen, including food preparation, serving students and staff, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
Roster: Monday to Friday 8 am to 3 pm School Terms

WHAT THIS ROLE INVOLVES:

• Prepare and serve food and beverages to students, staff, and visitors in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
• Assist in the preparation of food items such as sandwiches, salads, snacks, and drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food-service and kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and sanitizing countertops.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards at all times.
• Receive deliveries of food and supplies, check them for quality and quantity, and store them appropriately.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and notifying management when stocks are low.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Follow all school policies and procedures regarding food service and canteen operations.
