JOB SUMMARY

Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Ireland’s leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential, Mental Health and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the above positions. The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role.

JOB OBJECTIVES

We are seeking applications for the role of Catering Assistant.

  • To be familiar with and to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • To use company IT systems as instructed and to never share your passwords with another or do anything likely to result in the unutilised disclosure of and or personal data as defined under the General Data Protects Regulations (GDPR).
  • To report any concerns for the safety of our patients to your line manager and or other manager within Nua for appropriate address in-line with company policy.
  • To act responsibly, at all-times, and to co-operate with our regulators in the very best interests of our service and the people who use them.
  • Respect patients and their families showing dignity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist in the provision of a quality service and work in line with Nua’s national and locally devised policies and regulations.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all information made available to him / her during the course of his / her work.
  • Maintain a strict code of personal and general hygiene in the workplace as per work schedules and existing policies and procedures.
  • When directed be responsible for the preparation and serving of food in line with national and local policies and standards.
  • Preparing, plating and serving patient meals.
  • Ensuing all HACCP guidelines are followed.
  • Collection of Cutlery, crockery, and glassware from patient areas.
  • Cleaning and drying of crockery, glassware, and crockery.
  • Regular cleaning of the pantry.
  • Assisting Chefs with any food prep required.
  • Prepare both raw and cooked food.
  • Cook food to a high standard.
  • Portion and pack both raw and cooked food.
  • Rotate and allocate foodstuffs.
  • Label, chill and store food.
  • Keep accurate records and operate necessary computer systems.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and good order of area of assignment and associated areas to the highest possible standard in line with Nua policy.
  • Efficiently and economically use materials and equipment.
  • Assist with special functions as required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 Years’ previous experience in a similar role.

SKILLS:
