Brisbane Private is a 181-bed Private hospital with 17 operating theatres, surgical, medical and rehabilitation units, ICU and drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. Conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands, specialist services include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation, General surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective leadership and people management to the Food Service team, including Chefs, Cooks and Food Service Assistants, ensuring that all rostering, recruitment, and compliance needs are met.
- Demonstrate cost effectiveness by ensuring timely processing of invoices, management of purchasing and stock control .
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a positive team culture, supervising and providing guidance to kitchen staff, and by liaising with dieticians and other staff to create an experience that makes a difference.
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education. Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in team meetings, quality and audit activities, and ensuring compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
