QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME A CBSA SECURITY GUARD IN SURREY:
- A valid British Columbia security guard license
- A valid and current First Aid Level 1 (OFA1)
- Advanced Security Training (AST)
- Canadian citizenship or Permanent residence status
- High School diploma / Proof of education
- Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check Available to work flexible hours.
- 1-year of security guard experience
- Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
- Experience working in a high-stress environment with quick responsiveness to emergency situations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property.
- Escort people within the facility, using restraints to ensure the safety of everybody.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion and a recognition that you are working with individuals under stress.
- Observe, monitor, and report on behaviour of detainees.
- Conduct regular foot patrols - both indoor and outdoor facilities
- Monitor and properly utilize security software and equipment!
- Generate daily incident reports.Utilization of tactical training to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations
