ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about engineering and problem solving. You will also have;

  • Signalling experience, preferably CBTC
  • Very good technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills of the ATC subsystem (Trackside and onboard) of Alstom’s U400 product or any of Alstom’s products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline

Responsibilities:

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field, joining our Services business in Rouse Hill. Reporting into the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert engineering support to the Sydney Metro project, Australia’s first fully-automated train line. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (quality team, supply chain team, etc.), taking care of the preventative maintenance of the equipment, focusing on solving issues, investigating faults and much more. We’ll look to you for;

  • Maintaining CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) Signalling and Communication Onboard equipment, including preventative maintenance
  • Actively participating in closing work orders within the Asset Information System
  • Recording and reporting all information relevant to operational safety incidents, service defects and failures
  • Acting as Alstom’s technical representative, providing technical support to the Operator and maintenance staff
  • Responding to trends in CBTC signalling equipment defects and making recommendations on possible mitigations and counter measures
  • Troubleshooting of ATC (Automatic Train Control) Onboard and trackside fault as and when they arise
