Description:

Clearway is one of the UK’s most successful, innovative, and rapidly expanding integrated security services and intelligent protection organisations – working to protect people, property, and assets. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a CCTV Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis to cover our East Anglia locations.

Key Experience Required:

  • Possess a competent-to-good level of technical competency with CCTV and understanding of basic electrical and electronic systems/principles.
  • Working knowledge of all security systems including networking, firewalls, power issues, fault finding, along with Basic electrical skills (Multimeter, Safety, Continuity testing, Fuse testing, Tool use).
  • Access control, intruder, and door entry systems experience would be an advantage although full training will be given.
  • Commissioning experience on all projects with a background in CCTV, Access Control, and Integrated Camera Systems and solar controller units.
  • Familiarity with working on construction sites, highways with knowledge of general site rules, and health and safety requirements and regulations.
  • ECS/CSCS/SSSTS card.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to plan and organise daily tasks independently.
  • Willing and capable of learning new technology and skills.
  • Capable of working on your initiative and seeking support if necessary.
  • Problem solving skills - finding and evaluating information to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Capability to pass a DBS Check (Paid for by the company).
  • A full UK driving licence (minor points considered)

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of CCTV systems, Access Control, and ANPR Systems in a variety of premises. Supporting major projects in call sectors.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and communication.
  • Maintaining records of works, including service reports, installation logs, test sheets and equipment inventories.
  • Responding promptly to emergency repair requests, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations.
  • Working independently as well as part of a small team of engineers/subcontractors.
  • To follow safe working, compliance, and operating procedures.
  • Travel with the required location to and from project locations and sites.
  • The role requires the candidate to work well both independently and in a team environment. It may involve working antisocial hours and occasional overnight stays away from home from time to time.
