At Green Leaves Early Learning Centres, we take pride in building innovative and sustainable learning environments and practices in our state-of-the-art centres.
Our Merrifield is a brand new service that will cater for up to 128 children. Centrally located at 21 Cityside Drive, our brand-new centre has been custom-designed to meet the evolving learning needs of children six weeks to six years of age.
As you enter our service, you’ll see our state-of-the-art Chef’s kitchen and parent lounge where families can connect or meet with educators over a fresh barista coffee and baked treat.
Our Merrifield Centre will boast 8 carefully designed classrooms to support our Educators and Children to thrive within their environments.
Our offering is unique, and for us, it all comes down to the little things. Our services are all-inclsuive fees to provide convenience and peace of mind to our families. This includes Nappies, linen, hats, meals and activities such as yoga, music classes and excursions/ incursions.
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, the Centre Director is key to building a team that will embrace our wonderful Green Leaves Commitments, and aim for excellence in day-to-day practice.

About the Role

  • Be empowered to run an efficient and smooth operation
  • Put children and parents first where we take the time to greet everyone and ensure they have the best possible experience with Green Leaves via high-quality tours and orientations
  • Recruit, motivate and inspire a team of passionate educators to best practice
  • Oversee and guide the highest quality of classroom curriculum and pedagogical documentation
  • Ensure immaculate Centre presentation within the internal and external play spaces
  • Understand and interpret the relevant industry regulations and legislation, including the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework
  • Build and engage with local communities, creating strong ties and relationships with the community and surrounding networks.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:

  • Current ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification (Early Childhood)
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Proda ID
  • Strong understanding of Regulation/Legislation, plus Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) essential
  • Hands-on experience running a Centre, including effective rostering and wage control, and guiding a large team’s performance
  • Strong team leadership abilities with experience leading, inspiring and developing a team of professional educators
  • Strong knowledge of computer skills, including Qikkids, CCMS, and ISS.
