Description:

Responsibilities include :
- Develop a culture of high early childhood standard and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Ensure the smooth daily operations of the school.
- Lead the implementation of curriculum and any school improvement plan.
- Support teachers, staff and pupils in engaging in the teaching and learning process.
- Maintain effective communication with parents.
- Implement structures to advance professional learning for teachers and other staff members.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, central office and others.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications :
- Accredited Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education-Teaching and Leadership (DECCE - T & L)
- Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) an advantage
- Degree from an accredited college or university, with graduate level courses in school administration and educational leadership preferred.
Skills Set :
- Previous experience in classroom teaching and leadership role.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in staff supervision and evaluation and in budget development and administration.
- Knowledge of early childhood / developmental learning and growth, behavioural response
- Ability to provide inclusive and effective educational leadership of general and special education instructional programmes.
- Familiar with Early Years Developmental Framework (EYDF) an advantage
- Familiar with IT applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Other knowledge is an added advantage.
