Are you a skilled and experienced Early Childhood Education professional with a passion for leading and developing a team? We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Centre Manager at Community Kids Mount Gambier to join our team and oversee the operation of our licensed childcare centre of 85 places.
Community Kids Mount Gambier has proudly received an Exceeding rating under the National Quality Standards.
As a Centre Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Childcare Educators and Teachers, as well as ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education to children ages 6 months to 5 years old with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • ACECQA approved Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting, including experience in a leadership role
  • A current Working with Children Check / DCSI Clearance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the childcare centre, including staffing, budget management, and communication with parents and stakeholders
  • Lead and support the professional development of the Childcare Educators and Teachers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes teamwork and respect for diversity
