Description:
Our client who’s based in Te Rapa is 100% New Zealand owned, and they operate throughout the whole North Island. Their focus is to build and design the future for the next generation, and by doing that, they take civil contracts operating in and around regional areas. They are currently searching for Drainlayers with extensive experience and competency. What they want you to bring to the table is your experience (Minimum of 3-5 years New Zealand experience) and a good attitude.
What you need to bring to be successful in this role:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of New Zealand experience in commercials, residential, industrial sewer, and stormwater systems
- Certified Drainlayer Ticket
- W, T, and R endorsements are advantageous
- A Clean Full Class 1 or 2 NZ Driver’s License
- Must have their own reliable transportation
- Needs to pass all pre-employment checks including drug tests
- Physically fit and strong
- Good communication
- Reliable and honest
- Able to work in harsh conditions
- Compliant with strict Health and Safety requirements
- Strong work ethic, and able to work well in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant job and work instruction.
- Be able to read plans with the ability to deliver the project on time
- Excavating trenches, laying pipes, and connecting fittings according to projects
- Operating heavy equipment and machinery (excavators/ rollers/loaders/tractors/trucks)
- Collaborating with project managers and construction teams to ensure successful completion of projects
- Any other requirements asked for by site supervisor
