Chair, Department Family and Community Medicine
StartDate: ASAP

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • An outstanding MD, MD/PhD, DO, or equivalent clinician with substantial leadership experience.
  • Significant academic, clinical, and administrative experience in a university health science center or comparable organization, preferably at the rank of a professor or associate professor academically.
  • American Board Certified in Family Medicine with a demonstrated understanding of all elements of health care delivery, including strategy, business planning, operations, and finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as a team of dedicated primary care researchers, the division is committed to long-term research agendas, which are supported by external funding.
  • Supporting scholarship by all faculty members within the Department, including educators and clinicians, with study design and implementation expertise and support staff assistance.
  • The division aims to identify, train, and mentor medical students, residents, and other faculty members in the importance of primary care research
