The purpose of Te Tari Pūreke , Fire arms Safety Authority is to enable New Zealand to be a world leader in arms safety. We regulate and administer the Arms Act and Arms Regulations.
Our business was established to lead, operate, and modernise the firearms system. We will achieve this by building stronger relationships with those in the firearms community, creating a more efficient and effective risk-based licensing system, and improving public confidence in the firearms licensing system.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
As a change analyst in the Partnerships Directorate, you will be part of a high performing, fast paced team responsible for coordinating, implementing, monitoring and reporting on change across the organisation and for the communities we support.
We are looking for someone with first class communication skills and a demonstrated ability to understand business changes, issues and processes and unravel impacts for the various stakeholders affected.
You will need exceptional skills in the full suite of Microsoft products, be highly organised, a natural problem solver, curious, with excellent attention to detail.
You will need flexibility to adapt within a fast-paced environment and identify and raise any issues and risks relating to stakeholders, to ensure effective engagement and proactive issue resolution.
You will interpret data and communicate insights that summarise key issues and findings, formulate supportive ideas and materials as well as present findings and ideas clearly and concisely to a variety of key stakeholders.
Demonstrating the commitment of the Treaty of Waitangi, Māori and other communities and cultures is also a key part of this role.

TAKOHANGA MATUA | KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop a change vision and change on a page for a variety of initiatives which provide a picture of what the future looks and what activities will occur to bridge the gap.
Manage the central milestone tracker for change impacts and activities for the Directorate.
Lead change management activities on small projects with limited impacts to a workgroup including writing and coordinating communications, presentation packs, guidance materials, website updates, training, and planning.
Build relationships with many people across the business, from subject matter experts to channel owners, to ensure all aspects of change are considered and all those who need to be involved or accountable, are.
Measure change effectiveness and success.
Arrange logistics for change related workshops and meetings.
Support senior change team members in all aspects of change management activity on large transformation programmes.
Demonstrate commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, Māori and other communities and cultures.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants have working rights in New Zealand
Change management qualification preferred: APMG or Prosci.
Relevant tertiary qualification in communications or marketing. Some component of statistics or other mathematical disciplines, or equivalent experience a bonus.
