The Change and Research Team play a crucial role in organisational transformation by identifying and exploiting opportunities to improve operational and non-operational policing functions.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) grade C in Mathematics or English.
  • A level/NVQ 3/4 and/or 3+ years of experience acquired in a business/analytical environment
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team but also with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of engaging with different roles within the organisation.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong approach to quality.
  • proven organisation skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive information.
  • Understanding and use of Microsoft work related packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Power Point).

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a unique opportunity to join the Change and Research Team, who are part of the Organisational Improvement Team in Cambridgeshire Constabulary. The purpose of the team is to identify and enable innovative business change to solve organisational problems and improve the working practices of Cambridgeshire Police. The key focus areas of the team are Change, Innovation, Problem Solving and Benefits Realisation. You will support the Change & Improvement Analysts in conducting reviews which will enable senior managers to make informed decisions about the most effective and efficient way to use their resources for improved service delivery. The post holder will be responsible for arranging and participating in interviews, focus groups, process mapping workshops, making effective use of Process Evolution Demand Software. They will also be responsible for seeking out and capturing benefits realisation and tracking and documenting organisational learning.
The role will contribute to the Force’s research and Evidenced Based Policing agendas. You will also be expected to support other aspects of work delivered by the Organisational Improvement Team.
The role is varied, so you will work flexibly and will develop and deploy different skill sets depending upon the nature and requirements of the project.
We are currently working agilely and are likely to continue to do so in the future. The post holder must be able and willing to travel to the office and elsewhere around the county for business needs.
