CHANGE MANAGER
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Change Manager a six (6) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a remote work model for this role.
Change Manager Job Details
- The successful Change Manager will have in-depth knowledge of and experience with organizational and behavior change theory, conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, and learning strategies.
- They will use their experience to plan and deliver change initiatives to meet project deliverables.
- The Change Manager plays a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet strategic outcomes by focusing on the people side of change to increase end-user adoption and benefits realization for provincial Digital Health solutions.
- This role reports into the Senior Change Specialist and provides support to high-risk/impact change initiatives affecting business processes, systems, tools, technology, job roles, as well as shifts in mindset and critical behaviours.
- In collaboration with key leaders, partners, and corporate services, coordinates and facilitates change management processes for their assigned program area or project teams
- Develops and implements change management activities in alignment with the DHSO Change Management methodology
- Works collaboratively with project team/project lead(s) in the program area(s) to integrate change management activities and project management activities
- Leads/directs other members of the change management team as required
- Contributes to project charters, budgets, project plans, risk/issue/decision logs and reporting activities
- Actively seeks to identify and mitigate end-user adoption risks
- Engages stakeholders through a collaborative approach to planning, implementing and sustaining change initiatives
- Provides change management advice, coaching and support for project sponsors, change leaders, and staff as required
- Facilitates Provincial working group(s)
- Fosters and facilitates relationship building, networking, and collective development to advance shared priorities across all stakeholder groups
- Builds capacity through knowledge exchange and knowledge translation activities with a variety of operational leaders, staff, and external partners
- Supports a culture that embraces quality improvement, cultural safety, anti-racism, psychological safety, and change leadership to achieve improvements in health outcomes
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Change Manager Mandatory Skills
- A level of education, training, and certification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines and a minimum of six (6) to ten (10) years of experience
- Proven experience leading or supporting change management strategies and IT implementation projects in complex multi-stakeholder environments
- Working knowledge of BC’s healthcare context, primary care, clinical systems, information technology and/or health information exchange standards
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to lead diverse stakeholder groups and organizations through complex discussions, build consensus, and negotiate solutions
- Self-motivated team player who can build relationships and maintain productivity in a hybrid or remote working environment
- Adopts an outcome-driven, systems-thinking and problem-solving mindset with the ability to understand interdependent technology and process changes
- Strong project/time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results
- Experience with project management software, CRMs, and collaboration tools
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address communication challenges proactively
Change Manager Nice-To-Have Skills
- Specialized change management, stakeholder engagement, agile and/or business analysis training or certification (e.g., PROSCI, IAP2 etc.)
- Previous experience in the areas of primary care, electronic medical records, clinical information systems, and transitions in care
- Knowledge of design thinking, product and service design, UI/UX, usability testing; iterative improvement processes and co-creation methodologies
- Experience or working knowledge with integrating change management with agile project methodology, concepts, activities, and sprint cycles
- A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development
