Bringing colleagues together from across the University into one function to form service areas that include Data, Insights & Decision Support; Strategy & Performance; Portfolio & Benefits; and Change & Improvement, the aim is to combine our specialist expertise and sector knowledge to help deliver our strategy ‘Vision 2028’ and beyond.

As well as supporting specific change initiatives, among your many challenges will be the need to support the development and embedding of a comprehensive change management plan and training and helping the university grow its change capability at all levels. Through collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, you’ll help to develop the change management approach for the university to ensure leaders, managers and staff are equipped to lead, deliver and embed our transformation initiatives and vision. You’ll be part of and help develop a community of change agents that support and embed change to the benefit of the whole UEL community. The University uses the Prosci change methodology, has a prosci licence and can support certification for a candidate – these are just some facets of this rare opportunity.
To succeed, you will need proven experience in supporting change initiatives of varying sizes and types that have had a strategic influence and impact on a university or organisation. You will also need the specialist knowledge and expertise it takes to drive change management maturity amongst stakeholders including on activities that include training and facilitation of workshops. The enthusiasm to work across a new directorate to create synergies with various service areas, academic units and professional services is important too.
