Description:
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY
The Head of Enterprise Workstream will be responsible for designing and implementing lean portfolio management practices, creating an effective interaction model with supporting functions (such as risk and finance), and establishing robust tooling and methodologies. This role will ensure the existing Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO) can drive alignment of the portfolio with the strategic objectives of the bank, promote efficient resource allocation, and simplify & enhance transparency and governance across change.
In ensuring that the portfolio management practices are effectively designed and implemented, you will foster alignment & accountability and enable strategic success in the bank’s change transformation journey.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Lean Portfolio Management Design:
- Develop and Implement LPM Practices:Design and implement lean portfolio management practices to optimize value delivery, resource allocation, and strategic alignment
- Portfolio Governance:Establish robust governance structures and processes to oversee portfolio performance and decision-making
- Continuous Improvement:Foster a culture of continuous improvement within portfolio management practices, ensuring that feedback loops and iterative improvements are integral
Interaction Model with Supporting Functions:
- Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in supporting functions such as Risk, Finance, Compliance, and IT
- Integration of Functions:Design and implement an interaction model that ensures seamless integration and collaboration between value streams/platforms and supporting functions
- Risk and Financial Management:Ensure that risk management, financial oversight, information security and procurement guardrails are embedded into change delivery processes
Tooling and Methodology:
- Tool Selection and Implementation:Identify, select, and implement appropriate portfolio management tools and technologies to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting
- Methodology Standardization:Develop and standardize portfolio management methodologies, ensuring consistency and best practices across the bank and modernisation of the existing change delivery framework
- Training and Support:Provide training and support to teams on portfolio management tools and methodologies to ensure widespread adoption and effective use
Strategic Alignment and Reporting:
- Align with Strategic Objectives:Ensure that practices enable alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives and value optimisation
- Performance Monitoring:Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of change and portfolio management practices
- Reporting:Promote and enable a shift to outcome-based reporting and root cause analysis
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:Regularly engage with executive leadership to ensure alignment and to communicate the value and impact of portfolio management practices
