Description:
Job Title: Channel Manager
Department: Business Development
Accountability: This position reports to the Sr. Channel Manager
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the sales channel with computer OEMs, resellers, distributors, and affiliates
- Develop and maintain channel sales plan, training plans, and product education
- Work closely with the sales team to communicate channel activities
- Facilitate relationships between the sales team and channel partners
- Establish relationships with Havis sales team members
- Maintain contact with key markets and customers to maximize sales volume
- Maintain in depth knowledge of all Havis product lines
- Develop training materials and deliver education on products lines to channel partners
- Create channel partner tools to drive self-sufficiency and avoid redundancy
- Navigate within multiple management levels of customers and strategic business partners
- Work with various Havis departments as an advocate for channel partners (i.e. issue escalation, problem resolution, etc.)
- Drive joint marketing activities with channel partners
- Establish multiple contacts within our partner network
- Provide new product and service ideas to the Director of Business Development and Marketing based on channel interaction and feedback
- Participate in identification of potential new business channels and channel partners
- Attend marketing events and trade shows
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, MBA/Master’s degree, a plus
- 5+ years of successful channel management experience (technical products preferred)
- Dynamic and energetic with a proven success managing and developing a sales channel
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and account management skills
- Exceptional presentation skills both live and online (Webinar)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
- Interest in learning a detailed product line
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

- Must possess a strong attention to detail
