Our Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Channel Sales Manager to take ownership for rolling out our Sales strategy; expanding product segmentation, and driving aggressive growth through leading a team of Territory Sales Managers across Sub-Continental Retail and Foodservice outlets.

TO ACHIEVE THIS, YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Set weekly pricing and drive active promotions to new business and existing customers.
  • Explore new product opportunities through our parent company (Wilmar), building business cases and launch plans, building on the success of Fortune Rice and Simply Oil.
  • Achieve sales volume and profit targets through leading a high performance team and taking point on negotiating key deals.
    About you
    To make this role a success we are looking for someone who has a background in strategic selling and a working knowledge of the Sub-Continental retail and Foodservice channels in New Zealand.

OTHER SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR INCLUDE:

  • Knowledge of pricing mechanics and commercial acumen with experience in negotiating sales
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to look for opportunities across new business and greater product segmentation
  • Prior experience selling commodity products oil, rice, flour – advantageous.
  • A high level of comfort presenting to large audiences and managing internal stakeholders
  • Prior leadership experience would be useful but not essential
  • Language ability to speak Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Punjabi or Gujarati would be extremely useful
