Description:

Join our team and help us revolutionize the fashion and lifestyle industry by empowering retailers and brands to optimize their prices and inventory across channels. We are looking for a chapter lead for software engineering who will be responsible for managing, coaching, and developing our software and QA engineers. This role is not only about leadership and management but also about actively contributing to the technical aspects of our products. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manager who can drive internal development processes, spearhead technical initiatives, and make crucial architectural decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in software development, with experience in multiple programming languages and frameworks. Knowledge of AI/ML and SaaS applications is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and developing engineering teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Process Improvement: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- People Management: Lead and mentor a chapter of 13 (and growing) software and QA engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Coaching and Development: Provide regular feedback, career development support, and performance evaluations for chapter members.
- Technical Leadership: Actively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software solutions. Make hands-on contributions to code when necessary.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Architectural Decisions: Lead the chapter in making strategic architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of the applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional product development teams to align technical efforts with business goals.
- Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Promote innovation within the chapter and the broader R&D organization.
