AUTRES QUALIFICATIONS :

• De solides compétences en communication, écrite et verbale, en français sont obligatoires.

POSITION SUMMARY*

The Project Manager/Estimator estimates and executes specialized construction trades projects in Montreal and other locations in Quebec. This experienced person works as part of a team to prepare take off’s, bids, and then executes and closes projects.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma.
• Commercial Estimating Program Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience is a strong asset.

OTHER EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING:

• Experience working in a construction site office or head office is an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and project management.
• Familiarity with standard construction project documents.
• Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Self-motivated with an ability to lead a project team.
• Experience estimating in the construction sector is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to read and analyze construction drawings.
• Business construction management experience including:
  o Billing
  o Procurement
  o Estimating
  o Scheduling

Technical Skills:*

• Strong computer literacy, experience with Google Workspace, web applications, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CAD, and Excel.
• Experience using MS Project, Primavera 6, Bluebeam or other project management software.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specs.
• Excellent knowledge of the Quebec construction industry regulations, CCQ & CNESST
• RBQ certification is an asset.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, in French are mandatory.
• Ability to communicate in English is a strong asset.
• Preference will be given to those who have specialization in abatement of asbestos, lead, and mold.
• Proactive and works well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understands and respects Health and Safety at the workplace.
• Candidates with their own reliable vehicle will be considered an asset.
• Able and willing to work flexible work hours, primarily days.
• Occasional travel within Canada may be required.
• Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance, which includes passing a criminal records check.
• Time management with an emphasis on communicating clear and realistic expectations.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a variety of settings and as a member of a team.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.

Duties include:

• Actively check multiple websites for posted projects and verify scope of work for potential opportunities.
• Attend job showings and site meetings for the purpose of estimating, including extras.
• Complete detailed take offs and estimates for projects.
• Get pricing for subcontractors, equipment rentals, or other project components for the successful execution of projects.
• Prepare and deliver completed bids.
• Utilize software for the quantity take off from drawings.
• Provide detailed explanation of successful bids for execution

Duties include:

• Create and execute project schedules.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to establish clear expectations for all phases of the work to be performed.
• Revise project schedules as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Manage existing client relationships and foster and grow new relationships with industry partners.
• Work with the team in a professional manner to direct and manage all aspects of the decontamination work

• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for each project
