Responsibilities:
We are very excited to welcome a Charge Point Technician to our team. This role is a full-time and permanent position based in Miramar, Wellington.
This role will lead the technical support and customer service within the Fulfilment team of Thundergrid. You will be responsible for Charge Point technical support for our charging network customers and electrical installers. At times, you will oversee the teams contribution to support stock management, network and technical problem resolution, and research and development projects.
The role will work closely with the Network Operations Manager to lead and coordinate the installation of chargers with our field service partners and help customers with the activation and configuration of their chargers as requested.
You will apply exceptional customer service skills, clear communication, a logical approach to diagnose problems, and confidently work with contractors in the field. This role also includes assisting with Research and Development (R&D) of EV charging technology to test functionality and power management, and they will also play a crucial role in trail blazing new processes and technology improvements for the E-mobility sector.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Speaking to customers and confidently taking ownership of customer issues reported.
- Identifying problems and coming to a resolution in a timely manner.
- Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve technical and system issues.
- Configuring charge point management software for installation and activation.
- Working with external contractors (e.g. electricians and network engineers) for installation support queries and to resolve installation issues.
- Supporting research and development projects including integrating new equipment onto the network.
- Working with overseas software and hardware suppliers to report issues and work on fault diagnosis to find solutions. Sometimes it may be their software or hardware issue, sometimes it will be our setup.
