CHEF DE LA DIRECTION DES FINANCES – Basé à Montréal, QC ou Toronto, ON

QUALIFICATIONS ET EXIGENCES :

  • Expérience des technologies financières modernes (ex. Netsuite, Adaptive Planning, Stripe, etc.)
  • Idéalement, vous êtes titulaire d’un diplôme d’expert-comptable.
  • Diplôme de premier cycle en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un autre domaine quantitatif, ou master en comptabilité ou en administration des affaires, ou expérience professionnelle équivalente
  • Expérience significative dans la supervision d’équipes financières et comptables au sein d’organisations prospères.
  • Innovateur, créatif, capable de résoudre des problèmes et doté de solides compétences interpersonnelles. Capacité à traiter des problèmes complexes et à les présenter au conseil d’administration et à la direction générale de manière claire et concise.
  • Une expérience dans un environnement de démarrage à rythme rapide est préférable - capacité à travailler confortablement sous pression, dans un environnement en constante évolution et dans des délais serrés.
  • Une expérience en matière d’acquisitions est souhaitée.
  • Une expérience de la collaboration avec les prêteurs est souhaitée.
  • Maîtrise avancée d’Excel. Plus de 10 ans d’expérience pratique dans l’utilisation d’Excel pour l’élaboration et la mise à jour de modèles financiers.

    - Une expérience des sociétés financées par des fonds de capital-investissement ou de capital-risque est souhaitable.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – Based in Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :

  • Experience with modern finance technology (eg. Netsuite, Adaptive Planning, Stripe etc)
  • Ideally a CPA qualification
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative focus; or Master’s degree in accounting or business administration; or equivalent business experience
  • Significant experience overseeing Finance and Accounting teams at successful organizations
  • Innovative, creative problem solver with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present to the Board and senior management in a clear, concise format
  • Experience in fast paced, start-up environments is preferred - able to work comfortably under pressure, frequently changing landscape, and tight deadlines
  • Experience with acquisitions is preferred
  • Experience with working with lenders is preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency. 10+ years of practical experience of using Excel for building and maintaining financial models
  • Experience with private equity or VC backed companies is preferred

Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance

  • Planning - Responsible for managing annual financial planning across subsidiaries and regular reporting against forecasts
  • Execution - Collaborate with CEO and board to execute the financial plan. Report quarterly to the Board of Directors on performance against KPIs
  • Financing – Create the financing plan and direct relationship with lenders
  • M&A - Manage M&A due diligence and integration. Work closely with the senior team to execute on growth plans and synergies for each acquisition
  • Divestitures – Work with our team to efficiently execute divestitures of our corporate stores to franchisees
  • Management – Manage finance systems; ensure continuous improvement, identify opportunities for process automation and simplification.

Accounting/Tax/Insurance

  • Accounting
  • Responsible for accounting and integration across entities; accurate and timely reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Oversee treasury, monitor cash balances and forecasting. Devise and implement strategy to best manage cash and liquid assets
  • Audit: Responsible for completing a successful annual audit and leading relationship with independent auditors
  • Tax
  • Oversee company’s tax strategy; ensure business is managed in a tax efficient manner with seamless execution
  • Insurance
  • Identify and maintain appropriate insurance coverage for Foodtastic

Risk Management

  • Implement and maintain an internal control environment focused on establishing and maintaining formal accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Accurate and timely reporting of all risk issues to the Board of Directors with proposed risk mitigation and management strategies
  • Ensure Foodtastic complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
