We are looking for a Senior Manager in the Rio Tinto Aluminium Strategy team to accelerate the delivery of lasting value to Rio Tinto Aluminium (RTA) through the formulation and delivery of the RTA Strategy. This is an exciting time for aluminum – essential for the low emissions transition as the world decarbonizes, the aluminum industry is undergoing significant structural change.
Reporting to the GM – Aluminum Strategy, and working in a diverse team within the Rio Tinto Aluminum strategy team you will work directly with leaders from across Rio Tinto Aluminum and you will be:
- Assisting in the definition and development of overall strategy for the Senior Leadership team
- Leading special projects such as the identification and evaluation of alternatives for new strategies
- Coordinating with Business Analysis on the evaluation of potential business opportunities by providing key inputs for models and investment committee papers
- Producing presentation materials for Executive Committee monthly / annual strategy reviews
- Supporting the planning process by providing inputs from RTA strategies and presentation materials on strategic themes to be discussed
- Owning relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the collection and transmission of key information to support decision-making and facilitate implementation of strategic projects
- Acting as a Project Management Office to ensure progress and effective delivery of strategic projects
- Constructively challenging the status-quo and develop hypotheses for areas of opportunity or improvement
- Actively and respectfully sharing your point of view in a multi stakeholder context
