Description:
The Harbour View Inn is located on Main Street on historic Mackinac Island. With 80% of the island protected by a Michigan State Park, the island is flush with outdoor recreational activities while having a vibrant business community and tourism industry. Mackinac Island is the number one tourist destination in the Midwest. No cars are on the island, just bicycle, foot and horse traffic. It is like going back in time! With over 10,000 visitors a day it is a great place to live and play.
We look for staff who are energetic and interested in meeting new people from other parts of the country as well as other cultures. We employ approximately 30 people over the course of the summer season from early May through October.
We are seeking a Head Chef to oversee and run Bill’s Grill a street side BBQ grill fast service outdoor restaurant along with preparing plated and buffet meals for our banquets. The Head Chef position is a hands-on position that requires supervising and training the staff as well as working both the grill and banquets, inventory and ordering.
The work schedule is six-day/night per week. Highly competitive hourly wage with compensation for experience. This position starts in May and runs through the end of October.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area preferred
