Join our dynamic team at a popular North Melbourne cafe renowned for its dedication to quality food and exceptional service. We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to play a pivotal role in our kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of outstanding culinary experiences to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Assist in menu planning, inventory management, and ordering to maintain food quality and minimize wastage.
- Adhere to kitchen procedures, portion control guidelines, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant.
- Full working rights in Australia (valid visa required).
- Ability to work 5 days a week, 38 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality in food preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
