We are searching for someone who can tick off all four of these boxes to come and join our team here at Sodexo in University of Birmingham School, 12 Weoley Park Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29 6QU as a Chef. What you do:

  • Plan all operations and the production team’s training while excelling in the kitchen.
  • Oversee the chopping, seasoning, and cooking of fish, vegetables, meats, salads, soups, and other dishes.
  • Plan and price the menu, place supply orders, and maintain accounts and records.
  • Assist the culinary crew in the range to instruct, mentor, and foster growth.
  • Keep an eye on sanitary procedures to make sure staff members adhere to rules and guidelines.
  • Prepare, create, and display food with the utmost care.

What you bring:

  • Level 2 or 3 Chef Qualifications and minimum 1 years of experience in hands on cooking, including certificates for Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety
  • Expertise in creating and designing menus
  • Exposure to or experience with large-scale cooking
