The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Chemical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Enhance the safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly operations for the manufacturing and related processes.
  • Conduct research into the development or improvement of chemical engineering processes, reactions and materials.
  • Design and test chemical processing equipment.
  • Evaluate chemical process technology and equipment to determine production specifications.
  • Oversee the construction, modification, operation and maintenance of plant processes.

Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Demonstrated project leadership abilities on highly technical and complex projects
  • Ability to lead and contribute across a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma/Quality Improvement/Process Improvement
  • Experience in PFMEA techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Microsoft Office proficient, Minitab a plu
