  • Assist in the manufacture of chemical products by operating plant and equipment. Working with warehouse to load and/or unload finished goods and raw materials.

Main Tasks

  • Manufacture chemical products in accordance with documented procedures, under the direction of management. Use SAP to support production by the generation of product and consumption of raw materials
  • Support the warehouse with loading, unloading, housekeeping and general (non-expert) maintenance tasks as directed by the Team Leader, warehouse staff or management
  • Assist in the transfer of raw materials and finished product between the warehouse and production areas, including the charging of raw materials and packing off finished product from the manufacturing plant
  • Provide samples of manufactured chemical products to the technical department for the purposes of product quality control and undertake basic quality control measurements in the absence of laboratory staff
  • Observe and report breakdowns or equipment defects that arise
  • Record all data as required relating to the manufacturing processes, maintenance of plant and equipment using the systems provided
  • Identify, report, and initiate action to prevent non-conformance or problems with product/process/quality systems, and verifying the implementation of solutions
  • Use computers to communicate via email and to record information by data entry into the appropriate programs.
