Description:

Additional specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Mixing and blending of products to meet daily production volumes.
  • Interpret BOM’s and ensuring all materials are picked and/or ordered in a timely fashion to meet scheduling requirements.
  • Ensuring chemical operations and other activities are conducted with the utmost compliance to OHS&W standards.
  • Immediately notify Chemical Operations Coordinator of any stock discrepancies or issues requiring urgent attention.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Normet Safety Standards.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and carry out periodic maintenance and servicing on Normets production assets ensuring optimum ‘uptime’ of the plant is achieved. Services are to be recorded and filed.
  • Participate in procedure development for mixing and handling.
  • Provide a professional and superior level of internal and external customer service at all time.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and notify the Chemical Operations Coordinator of any potential risks, hazards and or near misses.
  • Operate forklift and other machinery safely ensuring the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Other suitable Tasks & duties requested by direct manager or management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in an identical or similar role.
  • Experience working hazardous substances and chemicals.
  • Experience in and ability to interpret and follow recipes for production.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Sound communication skills both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Mining, Manufacturing, Construction; and or Aviation, Marine, or Heavy Diesel industries (Essential).

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Current Driver’s license.
  • Current Fork Lift license.
  • You may be required to undertake tasks outside of this position description taking into consideration the relevant skills and experience at the request of the reporting manager.
